Raised circular area (int. dims. 50m WNW-ESE; 48.3m NNE-SSW) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a wide, deep, partly waterlogged fosse. From WNW-E-SSW the fosse has been infilled and survives only as a slight depression. Original entrance not recognisable. Break in bank with accompanying causeway at SEmay represent original entrance. Tradition of a spa well within the internal area (local information).
