Detached six-bay single-storey former railway station, built c.1885, having recent extensions to west and south-west, now in use as community centre. Pitched slate roof, decorative clay ridge tiles with trefoil motifs, rendered chimneys with decorative clay pots, recent pressed metal rainwater goods. Projecting canopy of recent vertical timber boarding above entrance. Red-brick walls with grey string courses at window heads and sills, yellow bevelled brick above red-brick plinth, slightly advance entrance bay recently rebuilt. Segmental-arched replacement windows to road elevation with rounded jambs, banded vitrified and yellow brick voussoirs, yellow-brick hoods and stone sills. Detached three-bay single-storey with dormer attic former station master’s house, built c.1885, with central gabled dormer, open porch added to front, two-storey flat-roofed extension to rear. Now in use as private house. Pitched slate roof, pair pf rendered chimneys flanking centre bay, ornately carved timber barge boards to gables with drop-finial below ridge, cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls. Two-over-two timber sash window to gabled dormer, replacement casements to ground floor, having patent reveals and stone sills. Paired windows with timber sashes to upper level of north gable with horizontal subdivisions. Replacement timber casements elsewhere. Segmental-arched replacement windows to each gable having brick heads and stone sills. Projecting canopy with timber facing above large timber sliding-door to north elevation.
