- CV039-089: Enclosure, https://heritagedata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=0c9eb9575b544081b0d296436d8f60f8&query=18a4b61b268-layer-9%2CSMRS%2CCV039-089----. Located on a gentle SE-facing slope, with a small canalised SW-NE stream that forms the boundary with Co. Meath c. 80m to the SE. This is an unmapped circular grass-covered enclosure (diam. c. 25m N-S; c. 25m E-W) defined by a substantial earthen bank NW-E and a slighter feature elsewhere. The interior is occupied by N-S cultivation ridges. It is visible on AppleMaps is isible on MapGenie images from 1995 and Google Earth, and it was first reported by Jean Charles Caillére. - Garryross National School, school, 1860–1865, Regional interest, registry number 40403910, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=CV&regno=40403910. Detached four-bay single-storey national school, built 1862, now partly in ruins with rear wall removed. Steeply pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, red brick chimneystacks to gables, and cast-iron gutter to front elevation. Roughcast rendered walls. Limestone plaque above entrance reading ‘GARRYROSS N.S. 1862-1960’. Bipartite two-over-two timber sash windows with stone sills. Timber sheeted entrance door with exposed timber lintel. Sections of random rubble boundary walls with rendered square-profile piers and forged metal pedestrian gate.
