In undulating pasture, on an elevated rocky area, which is overgrown with dense thickets and is overlooking a small poorly drained area to the N. Not depicted on OS historic mapping but a cist is recorded at this location in the OS Name Book (1917), Form 230 (pers. comm. Paul Walsh, 21 October 1991, SMR file). Not visible at ground level. In an elevated area of deciduous woodland, overlooking lower ground to E and SE. This portal tomb appears to survive in a slightly more collapsed state than as described in previous accounts by Westropp (1902-04, 117-18) and De Valera and Ó Nualláin (1961, 78-9). Not depicted on OS historic mapping. A large, collapsed megalithic tomb (c. 5m NW-SE; c. 4m NE-SW; H c. 2m) (long-axis NW-SE) consisting of moss-covered limestones. The capstone (L 3.75m; Wth 2.8m; T 1.5m) is resting on one flat limestone (L 1.7m NW-SE; Wth 1.6m NE-SW; T 0.25m) at the SE end and is elevated 0.6m above ground level at the NW end. There is a flat stone at WNW (L 2.1m NW-SE; Wth 1.65m NE-SW; T 0.2m) and at N (L 2m NW-SE; Wth 1.3m NE-SW; T 0.2m) which are partially under the capstone. Two short upright stones and several other stones are also beneath, yet difficult to see. There is a possible collapsed opening at NW. An ivy-clad tree is abutting to SSW and it appears to be growing out of a natural erratic which has split into four parts. There are clusters of glacial erratics visible on this knoll to S, SE and E, with a very large cluster noted c. 40m to SE. In pasture, with undulations as a result of rock outcrop close to the surface. There is evidence of quarrying activity c. 20m to SW and c. 60m to W of this location. Not depicted on OS historic mapping but an enclosure was indicated by T.J. Westropp on a set of 1840 OS 6-inch maps (SMR file). Not visible at ground level. There are small irregular mounds in this area but they appear to be a direct result of either quarrying or land improvements. Detached three-bay single-storey cut-limestone gate lodge with prostyle tetrastyle pedimented Doric portico, built c. 1820, now vacant. Pitched slate roof with cut-stone chimneystack. Cut-limestone walls to front with carved detail to portico. Dressed stone walls to side. Timber sliding sash windows. Door opening now blocked. Cut-stone piers and boundary walls to site.

Detached five-bay two-storey house, built c. 1820, incorporating fabric of earlier building, c. 1650. Originally the servants' wings of larger house, demolished 1937. Four-bay single-storey lean-to projecting bay with pair of internal porches, added c. 1985. Pitched slate roof with cast-iron rainwater goods and four red brick chimneystacks. Pitched artificial slate roof to extension. Rubble stone and rendered walls. Timber sliding sash windows. Timber casement windows to extension. Glazed timber panelled doors. Detached sixteen-bay two-storey rubble stone outbuilding, c. 1820, with pair of segmental-headed integral carriageways and single-bay single-storey crenellated connecting screen wall to left. Detached eight-bay two-storey coursed stone barrel-roofed outbuilding, c. 1820, with segmental-headed integral carriageway.
