A circular grass-covered area (int. diam. 28m WNW-ESE; max. ext. diam. 35m WNW-ESE) defined by a stone spread (Wth 2.5-3.5m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 2m) which is incorporated from S to W into the overgrown townland boundary dividing Killian and Ballycarroll. There is no visible entrance. H 1m; ext. H 1.3m). A children's burial ground (CL026-003002-) is in the interior and a bullaun stone (CL026-003003-) is inside the perimeter at SW. There is a modernised entrance (Wth 3m) at SW. Situated just SE of the centre of an ecclesiastical enclosure (CL026-003001-). Named 'Children's Burial Ground (disused)' on the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and listed as 'Burial ground' in the RMP (1996). A rectangular overgrown area (int. dims. 30m E-W; 27m N-S; ext. dims. 42m E-W; 35m N-S) defined by a stone spread (Wth 3-4m; H 0.5-1m) with some facing stones at N (original Wth 1.4m). The entrance (Wth 1.5m) is towards the S end of the E side, and there is a cairn (CL026-003006-) (diam. 5m; H 0.7m) outside the perimeter at N, but there are no grave-markers. Situated inside the SSW perimeter of an ecclesiastical enclosure (CL026-003001-). A diamond-shaped slab of Old Red Sandstone (dims. 1.6m x 1.05m; T 0.45m ) with one complete basin (dims. 0.5m x 0.42m; max. D 0.17m) containing seven water-rolled 'cursing' stones (CL026-003007-). A smaller and shallower basin is adjacent on the surface of the same boulder. Named 'Doughnambraher Font' on the OS 6-inch maps (1840 and 1920) and known locally as 'Jack Baker's well' (Lenihan 1994, 44). Situated on the highest point of a hillock. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the RMP (1996). A circular grass and scrub-covered area (int. diam. 20m N-S; 20m E-W) defined by a stone spread (Wth 4.5-6.5m; int. H 0.25m at WSW to 1.2m at S; ext. H 0.6m generally to 1.5m at S), but no facing stones are visible. There are modern entrances at W (Wth 3m) and NNE (Wth 6m). The ecclesiastical site (CL026-003001-) is c. 30m to the W. Situated outside the boundary of a very overgrown children’s burial ground (CL026-003002-), named as such on the 1920 OS 6-inch map. No gravemarkers are associated with the burial ground but there is a cairn of loose stones (diam. 5m; H 0.7m) just 3m outside the N boundary. Situated in the basin of a bullaun stone (CL026-003003-) lying inside the perimeter of an ecclesiastical enclosure (CL026-003001-). The bullaun is named 'Doughnambraher Font' on the OS 6-inch maps (1840 and 1920). Seven 'fist-sized' egg-shaped water-rolled stones lie in the basin which is sometimes waterfilled and associated with the cure of warts. There were previously ten stones (MacMahon 1994, 17) although the number seems to vary up and down over time (Lenihan 1994, 44). Stacpoole (1904, 190) includes nine stones in his drawing. 'Rounds' performed here involved rubbing each stone against the afflicted part of the body and placing an offering of some sort under the bullaun. In February 1993 this practice continued (Lenihan 1994, 44). While stones of this type are generally classified as cursing stones there is no known evidence of their use for that purpose in this instance. Cursing stones are known from a variety of ecclesiastical sites and are present on the altar (CL041-062003-) at St. John's Well, Killone (CL041-062004-).
