On a gentle W-facing slope overlooked by a medieval church (CL002-014002-), c. 300m to NW. Indicated as a rectangular enclosure by a dashed line and named ‘Killoghil graveyard’ on the 1842 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and hachured as a rectangular enclosure with two parallel elements extending to the north and named ‘Killoghil Grave Yard (Disused)’ on the 1915 ed. Listed as ‘Graveyard’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A roughly square enclosure (Wth 30m) defined by a low bank (Wth 2.2–5m; H 0.2–0.8m) with no trace of gravemarkers. A trackway (CL002-059002-) extending N from the N side. Swan (1991, 114–15) recorded a church at this location, but there are no visible remnants and it seems likely he was referring to the one at Bishopsquarter (CL002-014002-). Ringforts are located c. 160m to the NW (CL002-015----), c. 250m to the ENE (CL002-061----) and c. 250m to the S (CL002-060----). On a gentle W-facing slope overlooked by a medieval church (CL002-014002-), c. 250m to NW. Indicated as part of a rectangular enclosure by a dashed line and named ‘Killoghil graveyard’ on the 1842 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and hachured as two parallel elements extending N from a rectangular enclosure named ‘Killoghil Grave Yard (Disused)’ on the 1915 ed. Not previously listed in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A road/trackway visible as a slightly curvilinear berm (L c. 55m; Wth 13.4m) defined to the W by a bank (Wth 2m; H 0.4m) on the upper break of slope of a W-facing slope and to the east by a W-facing slope, extending N from the site of the rectangular enclosure surrounding the site of Killoghil graveyard (CL002-059----). It runs to the townland boundary, with Bishopsquarter townland, beyond which it is not traceable but presumably once continued. Ringforts are located c. 110m to the NW (CL002-015----), c. 300m to the ENE (CL002-061----) and c. 300m to the S (CL002-060----), and a medieval church (CL002-014002-) and associated remains are located c. 250m NW. Several large boulders form the outer base of the bank at WSW but are not visible elsewhere. The site of a disused graveyard (CL002-059----) is c. 240m to the NNW, approximately centrally located between this and two other raths (CL002-015---- and CL002-061----), which are c.420m WNW and c. 415m ENE. A medieval church (CL002-014002-) and associated remains are located c.650m WNW. Hachured on the 1842 and 1915 eds. of the OS 6-inch maps. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). In good pasture, on level ground at E head of narrow, shallow valley enclosed by gently rising ground to N, E and S and with open ground falling gently to W. A poorly preserved subcircular rath (24.4m N–S; 21.9m E–W crest to crest) defined by a low round-topped earthen bank (Wth at base 4.1–6.8m; H 0.2–0.9m) except at W where the bank is flat topped and lowest (Wth at base 5.4m; H 0.1–0.3m). The interior has been dug out (max. D 0.5m) irregularly from WSW–ESE. A long low field clearance cairn and lone bush occupy the outer edge of the enclosing bank at E. The site of a disused graveyard (CL002-059----) is c. 250m to the WSW, approximately centrally located between this and two other raths (CL002-015---- and CL002-060----), which are c.410m W and c. 415m WSW. In pasture, located adjacent to a spring on a rocky terrace on the NW-facing slope of Moneen Mountain. At the N edge of the terrace, 5m to N of the fulacht fia, the ground drops to a lower, narrower terrace. Crescent-shaped, sod-covered mound (c. 10-12m N–S; c. 5-6m E–W; H c. 0.7, 1m at W) composed of a dense concentration of small, limestone fragments in a matrix of dark, charcoal-rich soil. On the E side there is a shallow depression (2m E-W; 1-2m N–S), indicating the location of the trough. It faces an area of wet ground fed by the spring, which rises 6m to SE in a jumble of rocks at the base of the cliff. Located c. 2.5m E of the fulacht fia, there is a low, sod-covered rise of brown soil with an area of darker soil and stone fragments on its NE edge. It was not possible to determine the limits or nature of this deposit. It is possible that it is associated with the activities at the fulacht fia.
