On a small, low rise, in gently undulating pasture with moderate views of the surrounding landscape SSE-NNW, which are obscured by woodland NNW-SSE. On a low rise, in gently undulating pasture with moderate views of the surrounding landscape to N and E, otherwise limited by woodland NE-ENE and hedgerows in the foreground to S and W. It is an oval area (21m N-S; 18m E-W) defined a low, yet well-formed scarp (Wth 1.5m; H 0.2m). There are no obvious signs of an entrance, but it may have been located where there is higher ground to NE. An external fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.1m) is present S-NW and NNE-ENE. Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c. 1765, with full-height canted bay windows end bays, added c. 1850. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and cut-stone parapet. Rendered walls with moulded cut stone eaves cornice and continuous sill band. Limestone cut-stone tripartite doorcase to centre approached by flight of steps, altered and with replacement fittings to openings. Pair of flanking detached two-bay two-storey pavilions with lunette windows to first floor, linked to house by three-bay single-storey screen walls having round-headed niches and limestone square-headed pedestrian gateways. Detached single-bay single-storey gate lodge with pedimented prostyle diastyle portico. Detached four-bay single-storey house, built 1901 by architect Robert Donough O'Brien. Recessed entrance bay having portico. Canted bay window to rear. Shallow segmental vaulted roof with replacement aluminium sheeting, cut-limestone circular-profile chimneystacks to each corner, central rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rusticated limestone walls with advanced frieze, dentillated eaves, cut-stone end bays and plinth. Cut-limestone entablature and canted pilasters to timber panelled door, approached by steps. Timber sliding sash windows set in single, paired and tripartite arrangements. Three-bay single-storey house to side. Complex of stables/garages to site. Freestanding Church of Ireland church, built c. 1840, comprising nave with three-stage tower and spire to left hand side and recessed single-bay sacristy to right hand side. Now disused. Pitched slate roof with cut-stone copings, wrought-iron wind vane and cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls to nave. Irregularly coursed stone with plat bands, blind quatrefoils and castellations to tower. Pointed arch openings with stone sills and paired timber sliding sash windows to nave. Square-headed openings with quarry glazing and label mouldings to tower. Pointed arch openings with timber louvres to tower belfry. Segmental-arched door opening with timber matchboard door.
