Detached three-storey over basement country house, built c. 1810, having three-bay front (north) and west elevations and four-bay south and east elevations, with recent single- and two-storey lean-to extensions to west elevation. Skirt artificial slate roof with cut limestone cornice stones below overhanging eaves, rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls with cut limestone string course between ground floor and basement. Camber-headed window openings with cut limestone sills and diminishing timber sliding sash windows, six-over-six pane to ground and first floors, and three-over-three pane to second floor. Round-headed openings to west elevation, three-over-three pane to top floor with spoked fanlight and cut limestone sill and double-leaf door to first floor with timber spoked fanlight. Segmental-headed front door opening with cut limestone doorcase comprising pilasters with moulded plinths and capitals, flanking timber panelled door and decoratively glazed sidelights, surmounted by carved limestone cornice, ornate spider-web and petal fanlight and moulded limestone archivolt. Cut limestone threshold to entrance. Detached T-plan three-bay single-storey gate lodge, built c. 1810, having pedimented cut limestone distyle in antis portico and single-bay single-storey over basement extension to rear. Now disused. Hipped slate roof with cut limestone coping to pediment. Ashlar limestone walls too front and side elevations of main block, with carved limestone armorial plaque and incised diamond pattern to tympanum of pediment, having panels above openings to end bays. Rubble limestone elsewhere, with roughly dressed limestone quoins. Square-headed window openings with carved limestone surrounds. Portico having monolithic Doric columns with plinths and supporting frieze and pediment. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled door flanked by carved timber pilasters. Sited across the road from gates to Altamira House which comprise carved limestone gate piers to vehicular and flanking pedestrian entrances, having moulded plinths, string courses and moulded caps, set to cut limestone boundary walls having cut limestone copings and terminated by similar piers, with cast-iron railings, and cast-iron single-leaf and double-leaf gates. - Altamira House, farmyard complex, 1790–1830, Regional interest, registry number 20900718, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=CO®no=20900718. Detached multiple-bay two-storey outbuilding between paired farmyards to Altamira House, built c. 1810, having lean-to concrete-walled extension to rear. Hipped and pitched slate roof, with overhanging red brick eaves course and cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls with cut limestone quoins. Square-headed window openings with cut limestone sills and some double four-over-four pane timber sliding sash windows. Round-headed carriage entrance to central bay having cut limestone surround and recent sheet metal doors. Square-headed door openings to outer bays with cut limestone surrounds and timber battened doors. Detached multiple-bay two-storey outbuilding to west side of west yard, having pitched slate and corrugated-iron roof with rubble limestone chimneystack and some cast-iron rainwater goods, random rubble limestone walls with red brick voussoirs to segmental-headed carriage entrances, having large opening to north end with roughly dressed limestone voussoirs. Detached multiple-bay two-storey outbuilding to south, serving both yards. Corrugated-iron roof and roughcast rendered walls. Square-headed openings with cut limestone sills and some timber casement windows. Square-headed door opening to east end having cut limestone surround. Roughly coursed dressed limestone gate piers to north entrance of east yard.
