Recorded by Windele (1898, 57) as 'an irregular fort, with a ruinous vallum and no fosse...the name "the fort of the assembly" may perhaps indicate that it was only a place of meeting a folk mote and not a fortified residence'. According to local tradition, 'a boy, some time since, looking after cows, found a hollow sound beneath his feet, which would show the presence of a crypt' (ibid.). A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner.
