The hut site is located on the southern side of the enclosure (CO092-088001-) and close to a gap in the eastern wall. It is circular in shape and partially dug into the slope at the W side. It measures, internally, 5m E-W; 4m N-S with walls surviving to a max H of 0.8m; 0.8m W with a possible entrance, 1m W, at the western end. The southern terminus of the possible entrance to the hut site forms a further small rounded ‘annex’ measuring 1.6m N-S by 1.4m E-W. The complex is c.36m west of a stream. This wall is made up of random field stones and is c 18m in length (max W 0.8m ; H 0.4m). A relict field boundary, not pre-bog in origin. In the area a thin peaty soil cover up to 0.1m in depth overlay a stony mineralised subsoil exposed in places. The orientation of this boundary wall is NNE-SSW. It appears to be a partial continuation of the field boundary to the west of the standing stone (CO092-048----) to the southeast. Compiled by: Tony Miller Date of upload/revision: 4 March 2022 - CO092-094: Field boundary, https://heritagedata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=0c9eb9575b544081b0d296436d8f60f8&query=18a4b61b268-layer-9%2CSMRS%2CCO092-094----. A substantial length of relict field boundary which also forms the townland boundary between Coomclogh and Ballynamought to the west. It is over 200m in length and runs from a point on the summit of the ridge in a NW-SE direction. It is visible for much of this length, sometimes covered by turf and at its southern end it disappears into an area of deeper bog. It survives to a height of 0.6m in places and one section near the newly recorded hut site appears to have facing stones on the western side. This section also appears to have been rebuilt and maintained at different times. Two sections of relict field boundary partially surround a cleared ‘green’ area. One section c. 22m in length, running N from an upstanding E-W boundary ending just where a track meets the green area. It has been leveled to the ground. At the northwest corner of this green area a second short section of relict field boundary was recorded . It was c.14m in length and was built along the top of a steep scarp. A hut site is c.12m to the northwest of this relict boundary and there is an historic sheep fold further to the east.
