Remains of limekiln in bank to NNE. Entrance (Wth 2m) to NE; line of well-embedded stones at base of bank on each side; many loose stones scattered about. External fosse (max. D 1.7m)NNE->SW; shallow to NE; deep to E and SE but overgrown with bushes. Interior slopes down to NW; planted with mature coniferous trees; three contiguous stones, each 1m in length, form line in S half of interior, 6m inside bank. Surrounding field fences removed; no visible surface trace of possible outer bank (E->S) hachured on 1904 OS 6-inch map and depicted as incorporated into field fence system. Early account indicates circle of nine stones with two further stones set beyond entrance to form short passage; these are now missing. Five erect and three prostrate slabs survive, including inner entrance stones and axial stone. Orthostats are 0.9m to 1.3m L, 0.4m to 0.75m T and 0.5 to 0.9m H.
