Detached irregular-plan two-bay two-storey over basement former country house, built c.1820, having two-storey bow-fronted bay to front (north), projecting block (east) and canted bay (west). Hipped and pitched slate roofs having smooth rendered chimneystacks, overhanging eaves and limestone eaves course with cast-iron and uPVC rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls with dressed chamfered limestone plinth continuing over basement to become string course. Exposed painted rubble stone walls to side (east). Square-headed openings with six-over-six (front, rear and sides) and eight-over-eight (basement) timber sliding sash windows with tooled limestone sills and smooth rendered surrounds. Square-headed tripartite opening to rear (south) with six-over-six timber sliding sash window flanked by two-over-two timber sliding sash windows with tooled limestone sill. Square-headed openings to side (east) with timber casement windows and tooled limestone sills. Round-headed door opening with timber panelled door, overlight, tooled limestone step and moulded timber reveal. Square-headed door opening to side (east) with timber battened door and overlight. Enclosed within demesne and extensive garden by recent wall and electric gates. Rubble stone and roughcast rendered walls with slate hanging, string courses, tooled buttresses, plinth and recesses. Roughcast render, recesses and tooled string course to tower. Pointed arch openings with nine-over-six timber sliding sash windows having stone sills, tracery and hood mouldings to nave. Bipartite pointed arch east chancel opening with trefoil light, having timber and lead fixed pane windows and concrete sill. Lancets to chancel and vestry with leaded fixed pane and nine-over-six timber sliding sash windows. Lancets with louvres to tower. Pointed arch door openings with timber battened doors, timber battened tympanum, tooled limestone steps and hood moulding. Blind pointed arch to tower (north) with hood moulding. Square-headed door opening to vestry with timber battened door and overlight. Enclosed within graveyard with rubble stone walls.
