West recess (H 2.52m; Wth 2.4m; D 3.17m) has sloping slabs at rear with stoking hole (0.18m x 0.12m); base filled with collapsed core material. Recess had low gabled structure built in front of it, now removed. Second overgrown recess (Wth 2.36m; D c. 3m) to E, sloping slab visible to rear; depression (1.1m x 1.2m; D 0.8m) cut into bedrock in floor of recess contains water, possibly a spring. Ramp removed at rear of kiln (11m N-S; 9m E-W); funnel area inaccessible due to overgrowth. Only W side of kiln indicated on 1904 OS 6-inch map. Square-headed window openings with painted stone sills and tripartite timber sliding sash two-over-two pane windows. Replacement uPVC window to porch. One-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows to rear and to addition, with cut-stone sills. Square-headed door opening to porch with timber panelled door. Outbuildings to east comprising four-bay, formerly five-bay single-storey block to west with pitched slate roof and rendered chimneystacks, rubble sandstone walls and square-headed openings with timber caement windows and timber battened doors. Three-bay two-storey block to north with single-bay single-storey lean-to addition to east gable, pitched slate roof with cast-iron rainwater goods, rubble sandstone walls, first floor having vertical vents and square-headed pitching door, and ground floor having segmental-arched vehicular entrances with sandstone voussoirs.
