Inner face of bank highest on W and N sides, especially along NW quadrant; bank low on S side (int. H 0.25m; ext. H 1.4m); loose stone on inner face to N and W may be remains of facing. Bank stone-faced externally in parts to S and W. Break in bank at SW corner; cattle gap at N end of E bank (Wth 4m) and at S end of W bank (Wth 3m). Interior slopes gently down to E; planted with beech and oak trees. According to local information, tradition of this fort having an underground chamber. Brick chimney atop wall to rear, lean-to addition to rear covered by continuation of main roof line. One-storey farm buildings in yard to rear.
