First floor weatherslated, slates decreasing in size with height. Gable-ended with brick chimney atop gable, attic windows in gable ends. Central 2-storey gabled projection to rear; lean-to addition to SW end of rear. According to local information, built by Arthur Bastable who resided here c. 1800 (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 4, 222).
