A promontory defined by cliff edges on the NW half and by a curving largely collapsed stone wall to the SE. The original wall width is 2.2m. The outer facing survives in places up to 1.2m. The wall fades out to the E and there is slight evidence for an entrance c. 2m in width on the E side also. Two natural straight-sided, narrow rock crevices occur at the NW end of the promontory. They could have been roofed and used as souterrains. The interior is undulating. The site is located with a commanding view over Glencolumbkille valley on barren heather-covered land. A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner. A price is the price recorded for a past sale, not a valuation.
