The only indication of the 'Kilmurry' marked on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch maps is a modern field clearance cairn said locally to overlie 'graves'. This is situated on a slight ridge of cultivated land sloping down to the Culoort River close to the cliffs. (Bonner 1972, 55) The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A subcircular cairn, of small angular stones, c. 9.9m in diameter and.75m high. A rectangular pit has been dug into the cairn with the cleared stones heaped up to the NE giving the mound a peculiar profile. It may be simply the remains of a trigonometrical station. It is situated on the summit of Sheemore in rough boggy terrain. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A natural promontory with high ground to the land side dropping down to a level area before the narrow approaching neck and rising sharply to the promontory beyond. It is defended by an earthen bank with an internal ditch which may be modern, associated with the recent cultivation of the promontory. ## Architectural heritage (National Inventory of Architectural Heritage)

- House, 1800–1840, Regional interest, registry number 40900110, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=DG&regno=40900110. Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c. 1820, having windbreak porch to front and bed outshot to rear. Rounded pitched flax thatched roof with latticed restraining ropes, timber stays and stone pegs to eaves, and with chimneystacks to gable ends. Limewashed rendered rubble stone walls. Square-headed window openings with cut stone sills, and replacement timber windows. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled half-door. Set in own grounds adjacent to road and bound to rear by rubble stone wall.
