- DG044-023: Ringfort - cashel, https://heritagedata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=0c9eb9575b544081b0d296436d8f60f8&query=18a4b61b268-layer-9%2CSMRS%2CDG044-023----. Dimensions 14m N-S and 14m E-W A D-shaped area abuts, on the S side, the top of a cliff-edge. A modern field boundary now runs along this cliff. The rest of the area is enclosed by a very collapsed stone wall .3m in height. The interior is flat but raised slightly above the surrounding land. The site is located at the SE edge of a plateau of wet pasture overlooking better land below to the S and E. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Random rubble walling and parapets, latter with field-stone coping stones, field-stone voussoirs forming segmental arches, and rubble stone triangular cut-water.
