Pitched artificial slate roof with projecting eaves course, some surviving sections of cast-iron rainwater goods, with cast-iron and replacement rainwater goods, and with single smooth rendered chimneystack to the south gable end. Smooth rendered walls over projecting smooth rendered plinth course. Square-headed window openings to upper floors and to the south end at ground floor level having one-over-one (to buildings to south end and centre) and two-over-two-pane timber sliding sash windows (to building to the north); moulded stucco architraved surround to window opening to the south end at ground floor level. Square-headed window openings to shopfronts having fixed-pane display windows. Cast-iron ventilation vent over window openings to shopfront to central building. Square-headed doorways to shopfronts having replacement windows. Square-headed doorway to the building to the south having replacement timber door with leaded upper panel, flanking smooth rendered pilasters, and with stucco pediment over. Sliding metal door to segmental-headed carriage-arch. Stucco shopfront to central building having moulded rendered cornice terminated to either end by stucco console brackets. Road-fronted to the south end of Manorcunningham. Detached four-bay single-storey Presbyterian meeting house\church built c. 1746 and altered or rebuilt c. 1860 and c. 1900, having single-storey entrance porch to north-west and single-storey vestry over basement to rear (south-east), built c. 1920. Refurbished and reroofed c. 1990. Pitched artificial slate roof (fibre cement) to main body of building with cast-iron rainwater goods, and with rendered chimneystack to the south-east end of hall. Stippled smooth rendered walls over inset smooth rendered plinth; raised smooth rendered block-and-start quoins corners of entrance porch to the north-west. Central round-headed doorway to the front elevation of porch (north-west) having replacement timber panelled double-doors with fielded panels, leaded overlight with coloured glass and with plain smooth rendered surround. Round-headed doorway to south-east elevation of vestry and round-headed window opening to west elevation having timber fittings. Date stone to east elevation of porch reading ’MPV + MRC RM 1723’ and ‘1746 this house was built be the Revd William Laird Minister Jas Boggs Projector’. Timber pews to interior, gallery with timber panelled balustrade and cast-iron column support, and timber panelled pulpit with timber pilasters. Set back from road in own grounds in elevated site to the north-east of the centre of Manorcunningham. Presbyterian hall (see 40827006) adjacent to the south in shared grounds. Site bounded to the east by smooth rendered boundary wall with moulded coping and smooth rendered piers (on square-plan) having stepped pyramidal coping over. Modern boundary wall to the west boundary. Main gateway to the east comprising a pair of smooth rendered gate piers (on square-plan) having steeped smooth rendered capping, and with a pair of decorative cast-iron gates. Detached four-bay single-storey Presbyterian Church hall built c. 1860 and having single-storey entrance porch to north-west, two-bay single-storey gabled extension to south-east with single-storey extension attached to south-west. Pitched slate roof with overhanging eaves on raised eaves course with cast-iron rainwater goods. Flat felt roof to entrance porch with moulded cornice. Pitched asbestos sheeted roof to south-east having smooth rendered chimney and mono-pitched slate roof to attached extension. Lined and ruled smooth rendered walls with buttresses having rendered skews to south-west. Round-headed openings with stained glass timber sliding sash windows having protective mesh over with painted stone sills. Blank ocular openings to north-west gable. Square-headed openings to rear extension having two over two timber sliding sash windows with protective mesh over and painted stone sills. Located adjacent to First Ray Presbyterian Meeting House (40827005) with low rendered boundary wall to south and north and having pair of square piers forming entrance to north-east with pair of decorative cast-iron gates inset. - RIC barracks, 1790–1840, Regional interest, registry number 40827010, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=DG®no=40827010. Attached six-bay two-storey house, built c. 1800. Later in use as a Royal Irish Constabulary barracks, c. 1840-1920 and extended to north c. 1880. Later in use as a private house. Now out of use. Pitched natural slate roof with projecting eaves course, overhanging cast-iron rainwater goods, and with two red brick chimneystacks (one to the north gable end and one offset to the south side of centre). Roughcast rendered walls over smooth rendered plinth course, and with smooth rendered block quoins to the corners of the front elevation; remains of lime render over rubble stone construction to the north gable end. Square-headed openings with painted stone sills, smooth rendered reveals, and with six- -over-six timber pane sliding sash windows (some now broken). Square-headed doorway (offset to the south side of centre) having smooth rendered reveals, stone plinth blocks, replacement battened timber door, and plain overlight.
