Internal diam. 27m. An oval area originally enclosed by an earthen bank and an outer fosse which only survives along the NW sector. The bank which is .6m in height has been removed along the N. The fosse is c. 3m wide and 0.6m deep below ground surface. Some stones along the outer face on the E seem to have been part of a revetment to raise the site on this its low side. It is situated on the E edge of the steep Ray river valley c. 10m to the W. The land is fair to wettish grazing. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' This monument, 2.5km SSE of Falcarragh, stands 1km S of the court tomb in Ray townland (Dg. 107) and c. 250m E of the Ray River. To the N is a view toward the sandy beach stretching eastward from Ballyness Bay, 3.4km away, and to the S Muckish and Errigal mountains form the skyline. The tomb is at the edge of a small level tract of ground that provides rough pasture. The tomb, which faces W, consists of the remains of an unroofed gallery, c. 4m long and 1.7m in greatest width. Two adjoining orthostats, almost 2m from the front of the gallery, represent the southern arm of a court. Some slight traces of a mound around the structure are too indefinite to show on the plan. The outer one of the two adjoining orthostats of the court leans inward. It is 0.5m high. The inner one is 0.6m high. The entrance to the gallery is marked by a single transversely set jamb at the N. This leans outward and is 1m high. The first of the two orthostats on this side of the gallery is 0.9m high. That next to it is 0.6m high. There is a gap, 0.7m long, between this and the stone closing the back of the gallery. Three orthostats form the S side of the gallery. The first is 0.55m high, and the second is 0.5m high. A corbel, its outer end on the ground, rests on the opposed ends of these two orthostats. It measures 1m by 0.9m by 0.4m in greatest thickness. The third sidestone at the S overlaps and leans against the backstone. It is 0.6m high. The gable-shaped backstone is 1.2m high. Although no formal segmentation is present, the narrowing of the gallery achieved at the inner ends of the opposed sidestones at the front of the structure suggests that a two-chambered design may have been intended. Thomas Fagan (1845-8), who visited here in 1845, noted a local claim that part of the gallery had been covered by 'a great flag' but that it and other stones of the structure had been removed. He also referred to the destruction of what may have been another tomb (DG025-051----) in the same townland (Appendix 1, no. 87). Approximately 5m S of the tomb are two stones, one 0.85m and the other 0.7m high, and a third stone, lm in maximum dimension, lies prostrate closeby. Another upright stone, 0.8m high, stands 11m downslope to the W. These appear to represent the remains of a curved stone wall. (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002) Excavation licence number 04E0273 Pre-development testing was carried out on 5 March 2004 at the site of a proposed dwelling at Moyra Glebe, Falcarragh, Co. Donegal, which is located within the archaeological constraint for a megalithic tomb (SMR 25:38) in the neighbouring field to the north of the site. The testing comprised the excavation (by machine) of four trenches, which measured 50.6m, 9.5m, 7.5m and 17.5m long respectively, 1.05-1.3m wide and 0.45-0.8m deep. Below the topsoil was grey/rust-coloured loose loamy sand and grey/rust-coloured friable sandy silt loam. A number of modern field drains crossed one of the trenches. Three sherds of modern pottery were recovered from the topsoil. Nothing of archaeological significance was revealed. Identified by Caroline Carr of the Donegal County Museum (2007-). This huge, approx. rectangular earthwork is known locally as a burial mound. It is flat topped. It is not possible to say whether or not this is a (1) naturally-occurring feature, (2) upcast from a long forgotten drainage of the the Ray River in this area, which is located immediately to the W or a genuine antiquity. Alternatively it may be that it is either one of the first two options that was later used for burials.

Single-arch road bridge, built c.1810, crossing tributary of Abhainn Ráithe [Ray River]. Renovated mid- to late twentieth century. Round arch with dressed stone voussoirs, coursed rubble stone spandrels and parapets with chamfered smooth-rendered copings. Square-headed squinch/relieving arch to northwest corner with iron brackets supporting recent water pipes to south face.
- Moyra Rectory, rectory/glebe/vicarage/curate's house, 1810–1820, Regional interest, registry number 40902530, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=DG&regno=40902530. Detached four-bay two-storey rectory with basement, built 1815, with two-bay single-storey entrance section over basement attached to east gable. Now in use as private dwelling. Hipped slate roof with cast-iron rainwater goods on overhanging eaves, and single central yellow brick chimneystack with cornice coping. Wet-dash rendered walls to main block and coursed rubble stone to entrance section. Square-headed window openings with horned timber sliding sash windows, six-over-nine pane to ground floor and six-over-three pane to first floor, with stone sills. Square-headed openings to entrance section with red brick reveals and headers, replacement six-over-six pane horned timber sliding sash window with stone sill, and replacement timber door with overlight. Single-storey outbuildings, some with basement, to west and northwest, having pitched slate roofs. Walled garden to east, enclosed by rubble stone wall with openings to south and west and having square-plan piers and decorative metal gate. Freestanding Church of Ireland church, built 1803-4, with three-bay nave and gabled porch to west gable, having vestry and aisle added 1862-4 to north long wall. Pitched artificial slate roof with raised eaves course with open-bed pediment detail to gable ends, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Lean-to roof to side aisle, with rendered copings to parapets, kneeler stones and cast-iron rainwater goods. Painted roughcast rendered walls, smooth-rendered to porch, and lined-and-ruled smooth-rendered to north aisle with dressed quoins. Pointed-arch window openings, having cusped lancets to short walls of side aisle, two-light to long walls and three-light to east gable, all with chamfered sandstone surrounds, decorative tracery, integral sills, hood-mouldings to two and three-light windows, and stained glass and cast-iron quarries. Pointed-arch window opening to porch gable with timber fitting and plain surround. Pointed-arch doorways with ovolo-moulded tooled ashlar surrounds with stepped moulded heads and hood-mouldings, timber battened doors, bootscrapes recessed into jamb(s), and with three steps to doorway of side aisle. Church set back from road in graveyard, with rubble stone boundary wall to south with rendered square-plan piers and decorative recent metal double-leaf gate.
