An aerial photograph taken in the early 1990s (Dr. Gillian Barret AP 17) shows a circular cropmark (ext. diam. c. 18m). Not visible at ground level. The site appears clearly on Google Earth Coverage of 24 June 2018. The ring-ditch appears as a circular feature evidenced by a positive cropmark (ext. diam. c. 12.6m) defined by a ditch (Wth c. 2m). There is no evidence for an entrance gap through the ditch. Fragments of linear features are visible in general vicinity. This field is on lands formerly associated with Irishtown House (demolished), which lay c. 195m to the WNW. Now within open field W of M2. Two ring-ditches are located in the vicinity; ring-ditch (DU010-001----) is located c. 400m to the NNW, and ring-ditch (DU010-001----) is located c. 420m to the NNE. There has been widespread levelling of field boundaries as shown on the Ordnance Survey maps. The site is best viewed on Google Earth Coverage of 7 May 2017. The feature appears as positive cropmarks comprising two roughly parallel ditches (each Wth c. 1.4m) that appear to define an ancient roadway. The ditches, c. 10m apart, are traceable for a distance of c. 340m running in WSW–ENE direction. The site is best viewed on Google Earth Coverage of 7 May 2017. The ring-ditch was identified as a circular feature evidenced by a positive cropmark (ext. diam. c. 16m) defined by a ditch (Wth c. 2m). There is no evidence for an entrance gap through the ditch. Fragments of linear features and maculae are visible in general vicinity. The site was first reported by Mr. Paul Steen.
