Situated on the lower N slopes of Tibradden Mountain. A megalithic tomb shown on the 1906 revision of OS map as a small hachured mound bounded on the W and S by a hachured embankment. Situated on the NW slopes of Tibradden Mountain. A cairn excavated in 1849. Within the cairn a central cist containing a bowl food vessel and cremation enclosed within a circular chamber (diam. c. 3m). The monument was investigated in 1956 as part of conservation works and interpreted as a Bronze Age cairn with centrally-placed cist (Ó hEochaidhe 2003). A partially lintelled passage runs off the chamber in the NNE. A secondary urn burial was found within the cairn (Farrington 1933, 252-4; Price 1940, 121, 133; Waddell 1970, 117). A granite boulder (DU025-023002-) is situated 30m to the SE and is decorated with a cross and figure incised. This monument was subject to a preservation order made under the National Monuments Acts 1930 to 2014 (PO no. 155/1940). It was subsequently taken into Guardianship by the State. Situated on the NW slopes of Tibradden Mountain. A cross is cut on the face of a large granite rock 25m SE of a cairn (DU025-023001-). The cross is incised and has expanded terminals (H0.63m, Wth 0.44m) Beside the cross is incised a crowned figure, with upraised arms, whose body consists of a smaller but similar cross (Swords, K. ed. 2009, 108). It was first recorded by W. St. J. Joyce in 1912. Detached three-bay (four-bay deep) two-storey country house, built 1859-61, on a square plan centred on single-bay full-height pedimented recessed breakfront with distyle in antis portico to ground floor; four-bay two-storey rear (west) elevation. Hipped slate roof on a U-shaped plan centred on pitched (gabled) slate roof (breakfront), roll moulded clay ridge tiles, paired rendered central chimney stacks having "Cavetto"-detailed cut-granite capping supporting terracotta or yellow terracotta octagonal pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on slightly overhanging timber boarded box eaves retaining cast-iron octagonal or ogee hoppers downpipes. Rendered, ruled and lined walls on rendered chamfered plinth with rendered monolithic pilasters to corners. Square-headed central door opening behind distyle in antis portico approached by flight of four cut-granite steps, timber doorcase with panelled pilasters on padstones supporting "Cyma Recta" or "Cyma Reversa" cornice on blind frieze, and concealed dressings framing timber panelled door having sidelights on panelled risers below overlight. Paired round-headed window openings (first floor) with cut-granite sill, and moulded rendered surrounds framing one-over-one timber sash windows. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing one-over-one (ground floor) or two-over-two (first floor) timber sash windows with two-over-two timber sash windows to rear (west) elevation.
