On a ridge in level grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular cashel (53m NNE-SSW) defined by a collapsed drystone wall which is obscured by dense overgrowth. A field boundary cuts across the SW quadrant of the interior. Gaps at NE and ENE appear to be modern. On a low rise in grassland. Well-preserved roughly circular cashel (diam. 29.6m) defined by two grass-covered drystone walls and an intervening fosse. There is a causewayed entrance gap (Wth 1.6m) at E. At SSW a curving grass-covered stone wall (L c. 10m) abuts the outer enclosing element. A souterrain (GA128-027----) lies in the SW quadrant of the interior. A bullaun stone (GA128-031----), which is traditionally associated with St Patrick, lies c. 50m to the N. Within the SW quadrant of a cashel (GA128-027----). This poorly preserved drystone-built souterrain (L >12m) is roughly L-shaped in plan and consists of two passages connected by a creep. Access to the 1st passage (L 5.3m; Wth 1.6m; H 1.2m), which runs NE-SW, is gained at the SW end. A blocked creep (L 1.3m; Wth 0.85m; H 0.4m) is evident near the S end of its E wall, just inside the present access point. The 2nd passage (L 5.4m; Wth 1.6; max. H 1.4m) extends from it in a NW-SE direction and access to it is via a collapsed roof lintel. Possible air vents are evident in the NW corner of the 1st passage and in the W wall of the 2nd one. In reclaimed grassland. Subcircular rath (36m E-W; 31m N-S), in fair condition, defined by two banks of earth and stone and an intervening fosse. There is a well-defined stone-lined entrance gap (Wth 1.5m) at E. From NW through N to NNE a field boundary overlies the outer bank. Within N half of the interior an internal division is indicated by two grass-covered stone walls. A field boundary radiating from the monument at W adjoins another rath (GA128-030----) c. 25m to SW. A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner. A price is the price recorded for a past sale, not a valuation.
