On a low ridge in gently rolling grassland. Well-preserved subcircular cashel (N-S 42.3m, E-W 37.4m) defined by a massive drystone wall. There is an entrance at SE. A number of field walls radiate from the enclosing element and a trackway encircles it at E. Some grassed-over stone walls are visible within the interior. On a slight rise in undulating grassland. Marked on OS Fair Plan as a circular area defined by a broken line, but on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map it appears as a roughly triangular area defined by a solid line. What survives is a very poorly preserved subcircular enclosure (N-S 30m, E-W 27m) defined by a low scarp (H 0.5m max.). A CBG (GA055-023001-) is associated. Only faint traces of the enclosure survive and no visible surface trace of the CBG. A burial ground (GA055-025002-) lies in NW quadrant and an altar (GA055-025003-) in SW quadrant. Within SW quadrant of an enclosure (GA055-025001-). A rectangular drystone-built structure (NNW-SSE; L 1.7m, Wth 0.6m, H 1.05m) capped by two large flat slabs. According to local information, it was used to celebrate mass in penal times. To NE of the enclosure, there is a large natural boulder (GA055-025004-) which was used as a lookout post while mass was being celebrated.
