On a N-facing slope in pastureland. Poorly preserved circular cashel (diam. 25m) defined by a low grassed-over drystone wall. There is a break (Wth 5m) in the wall between NNE and ESE. Its long axis (L 4.7m; Wth 1.6m) runs ENE-WSW and the short axis (L 3.4m; Wth 1.7m) extends from its SW side and runs SSE. In low-lying marshy pastureland. Marked on the OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m). No visible surface trace survives and a large quarry now occupies the site. On a gentle S-facing slope in pastureland. Aerial reconnaissance in November 1987 (ASGAP 375:60) revealed an irregularly shaped field (c. 300m E-W; c. 70m N-S), which on inspection proved to be defined by a collapsed bank of earth and stone that was barely visible in places. Several modern field boundaries cut across the field and a number of natural hollows are visible in the interior. A house (GA105-219----) lies within the interior at SE. In gently undulating pastureland. Aerial reconnaissance in November 1987 (ASGAP 375:60) revealed a poorly preserved enclosure with a depression in the interior that possibly marked the site of souterrain. On inspection this proved to be a rath (diam. 44.7m) defined by a bank of earth and stone. A low bank (Wth 1.5m) cut across the interior from E to W. The depression noted on the aerial photograph proved to be a quarried-out area in the NE quadrant. Low banks of earth and stone (Wth c. 2m) radiating from the monument at SW and NW are possibly an associated field system (GA105-210001-). Aerial reconnaissance in November 1987 (ASGAP 375: 60) revealed a number of field boundaries radiating from a rath (see GA105-210----). These are defined by banks of earth and stone (Wth 2m; H 0.3m). One extends from the rath at SW and runs in a S direction for c. 60m. Another extends off it at NW and runs in a NW direction for c. 30m where it then runs into another boundary that extends c. 40m to its W and c. 100m to its NE. Noted during aerial reconnaissance in November 1987 (ASGAP 375:60), this subcircular house (9.5m E-W; 8.5m N-S), located in the SE section of a field (see GA105-209----), is defined by a bank of earth and stone (Wth 1.5m; int.
