On a W-facing slope in grassland, overlooking Mweeloon Bay. This medieval rectangular church (9.8m E-W; 7.6m N-S) is very poorly preserved. Only the ivy-covered W gable and the N side-wall survive, both stand to their original height. A small square window visible high up in the W gable, suggests the former presence of a loft. According to the OS Letters, this church probably occupied the site of an earlier one (O’Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 300-1). Holt (1912, 244) agreed with this noting a number of large blocks scattered about the associated graveyard (GA095-051001-) and also 'traces of ancient foundations near the present W. gable.' There is a 17th-century memorial stone (GA095-051002-) on the ground near the N wall. This irregularly shaped graveyard (c. 60m NE-SE; c. 58m NW-SE), which is still in use, is associated with a medieval church (GA095-051----) that occupies its NW corner. It is enclosed by a stone wall and access is gained at SE. Most of the headstones are modern but the earliest noted dated to 1681. One unusual grave-marker consists of a slab with a rounded head bearing a Maltese cross. Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1800. Pitched thatched roof having scolloped flush ridge, and low partly rendered red brick chimneystack. Painted roughcast rendered walls. Square-headed window openings having painted reveals and painted sills with replacement uPVC windows. Square-headed door opening having replacement timber battened door.
