According to local information, the monument was known as a ‘fort’ and it was enclosed by a bank and a very shallow external fosse. It was levelled in the early 1990s and no visible surface trace survives. Another possible rath (GA107-104----) lay c. 80m to the NE. According to local information, it was known as a ‘fort’ and was defined by a bank and fosse, and possibly an outer bank. A stone wall surrounded the monument but that was removed to build an outhouse to the N. The monument was subsequently levelled in the 1960s during land reclamation. All that survives is a low irregular mound.
