This is one of a group of three tombs (see also GA125-121---- and GA125-128----), which are situated on rolling farmland, c. 1km to the NW of Ballinlough in the NE foothills of the Slieve Aughty Mountains. This tomb comprises a ruined chamber (L c. 2m), with the entrance at SE, formed of two portal-stones and two sidestones above which rests a large roofstone: the E portal-stone and sidestone have collapsed inwards. A displaced stone lies immediately in front of the entrance and two others occupy the N end of the chamber. Traces of a low mound are discernible around the tomb. Marble Hill demesne, within which this monument formerly stood, also contained four other megalithic-type structures: see GA125-120----, GA125-123----, GA125-130---- and GA125-131----. In rolling hilly pastureland, some 210m to the S of a portal-tomb (GA125-119----). This tomb comprises the ruins of a long narrow gallery (L 10m) aligned NE-SW. A septal-stone at SW separates a short portico (L c. 1.4m) from the remainder of the gallery (L 7.2m) of which six sidestones are in position at N, five at S, and a backstone at E. Two roofstones rest in a sloping position above the gallery walls. A single upright stone at N forms a doubling of the wall and a line of five stones to the S of the gallery may be the remains of an outer wall. The gallery is incorporated in an irregularly shaped mound on which lie a number of displaced slabs. A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner.
