At the E limits of an area of rocky scrub and marshland, and to the S of a former cluster of houses. Named 'Toberroe' in Gothic script on the 1838 and 1920 editions of the OS 6-inch maps, this well consists of a rectangular subterranean drystone chamber (L 3.4m; Wth 0.75m) constructed of rounded limestones (L 0.5m max.) and roofed by three stone lintels. Access is gained via a series of steps. On inspection, the water was approximately 1m deep. The well appeared to be disused and was overgrown with thorns and brambles. No evidence of any religious association was noted and, according to local information, the well was only ever used to provide domestic water (SMR file). On a SW-facing slope in pastureland, overlooking marshland to the SW. Classified by McCaffrey (1952, 139, no. 32) as a circular ‘Earthen fort’ (diam. c. 51.8m) cut by a field wall from E to W; the ‘entire northern portion’ of it had been 'destroyed' but traces of the levelled bank were visible in the field to the N of the bisecting wall. In a hollow in low-lying farmland, immediately SW of the main Galway-Ennis road. A spring is named ‘Tobersruhlin’, in Gothic script, on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map. However, on the 1920 edition, the name is appended to a well c. 30m to the NW. According to the OS Letters (O’Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 312), the name ‘Tobar Sruithlinn’ is ‘locally explained as signifying the well of the little stream’ and it was not ‘a perpetual spring’ as it sometimes dried up. On inspection, it was found that the natural spring fed the well, which was defined by a small drystone well-chamber roofed with one capstone. On a gentle SW-facing slope in undulating pastureland. Poorly preserved circular rath (diam. 43.7m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank and fosse are best preserved from SW to NW; elsewhere the bank has been levelled and pushed into the fosse, however, its line is indicated by a low scarp. The outer bank survives at S and from SW to NW. No visible surface trace survives of the stone-facing noted by McCaffrey (1952, 139-40, no. 35).
