A hachured feature marked on the 1933 edition of the OS 6-inch map proved on inspection in 1983 to be a pit. This children's burial ground consists of a roughly oval unenclosed area (16.6m E-W; 10.9m N-S) within which numerous small upright limestone slabs are visible. The top mullion stone (GA096-150001-) of a trefoil-headed window, most likely from the tower house, marks one particular grave. In level pastureland. Described by Orpen (1916, 33-5) as a circular rath (diam. c. 48m) defined by ‘two concentric circular ramparts … with intervening ditch’. A ‘trace of a souterrain’ (GA096-125001-) lay within the interior. Cody (1989, 281-2, no. 107) noted that the monument had been levelled and, apart from a slight roughness in the ground surface, no visible surface trace of it or the souterrain survived. In gently undulating pastureland. Poorly preserved circular enclosure (diam. 23m) defined by a low grassed-over bank (Wth 3m; H <0.3m). On inspection in November 1986 a field fence overran the bank at N and immediately to its N a roadway ran roughly E-W. On re-inspection in March 2006 it was noted that the N sector was under some dumped soils and gravels that were partly laid over it to create a firm entranceway from the roadway for heavy vehicles using a roadway to its W which accessed a gravel pit further to the S.
