No visible trace of the stone (GA023-029----), or the small 'enclosure' (GA023-029001-) adjoining it on E (ibid., 239), survives; the promontory is now mantled by a fir plantation. A stone pair lies c. 250m to SSW (GA023-030----) and there is a pre-bog wall (GA023-039----) on SE slopes of the hill. The N stone is squat and subcircular in plan (H 0.5m); S stone is taller and oblong in plan (H 1.5m). No visible trace survives of the small 'enclosure' (GA023-030001-) noted by Redington (1914, 238-9) on E side of S stone. On N-facing slope in cutaway bog overlooking Ballynakill Harbour to NW. Squat granite boulder, oval in plan (H 0.65m). Immediately to SE is a prostrate stone, partly obscured (> 1.55m by 0.55m). On SE-facing slope close to the summit of a prominent hill. A short stretch of pre-bog wall is visible in cutaway bog (L c. 30m) running roughly E-W uphill where it is covered by a thin layer of peat. Obliterated by a fire-break and forest on the hill summit. There is a stone pair (GA023-030----) to SSW and the site of a standing stone (GA023-029----) to NW, both on summits of the same hill. In rough pastureland on a flat sheltered terrace between two outcropping rocky ridges. This unenclosed children's burial ground (c. 10m N-S; 9m E-W) is defined graves marked by simple shale grave-markers (max. H 0.3m). About 15 grave-markers are visible as well some possible stone-lined graves - one large subrectangular example (2.2m E-W; 1.3m N-S; H 0.6m) resembles a leacht. According to local information, some Spanish sailors who drowned off a ship delivering coal at the nearby pier in Letterfrack are also buried here. This stone pair is located in an area of rough grazing land on an E-W running ridge. It commands panoramic views overlooking Ballynakill Harbour and Tully Mountain to the NW. Diamond Hill and Doughruagh or Kylemore Mountain are visible to the E and NE respectively. The pair consists of two granite boulders, 2.3m apart, and while not parallel with one another, they lie on a roughly NNE-SSW axis. The taller boulder (H 1.32m; Wth 1.3m; T 0.85m), to the S, is flat-faced to the E and bears a more rounded profile to the W. The shorter N boulder (H 0.6m; L 1.2m; T 1m) is roughly trapezoidal in shape. The monument is obscured by the dense growth of cotoneaster, particularly around the S and W faces of the larger boulder. However, according to local information, it was clear of overgrowth in the mid-1960s, when it was visible as a more prominent feature in the landscape. This stone pair was brought to our attention by Helen Riekstiņš. Another example (GA023-030----) is known from this townland. It lies c. 225m to the NNW. - Rosleague House, country house, 1810–1850, Regional interest, registry number 30402316, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=GA&regno=30402316. Attached L-plan three-bay two-storey house, built c.1830, facing north-east and having gabled two-storey block to rear and multiple recent additions to rear built 1950-2000, now in use as hotel. Hipped artificial slate roof to original house, having rendered chimneystacks and replacement uPVC rainwater goods. Artificial slate to roofs of pitched roof additions, felt to flat roofs. Painted roughcast rendered walls with occasional wrought-iron vents. Square-headed window openings throughout with render sills and reveals. Bipartite timber-framed windows to original block with margined one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows having casement overlights to ground floor. Similar windows to flanking blocks to front and replacement uPVC and timber casement windows to rear elevations. Timber porch to front elevation having flat roof, fixed square-headed window openings, square-headed door opening with double-leaf timber glazed door and limestone stepped approach. Segmental-headed door opening to interior of porch having replacement timber glazed double-leaf door and paned overlight. Square-headed door openings to additions having timber panelled and replacement uPVC doors. Located within own grounds with rendered rubble stone enclosing wall with limestone gate piers and wrought-iron railings.
