In gently undulating pasture on top of low hillock; there is a small-scale quarry to the N and a large natural depression to the ENE. This circular rath (diam. 28m) is defined by the remains of low bank (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.55m; Wth 4.5m) which is reduced to a scarp in places. The bank (int. H 1.0m; ext. H 0.25m; Wth 6.1m) is best preserved from NW to NE where an external level step (Wth 0.65m) at the base of the bank may mark the top of the hillock. The remains of a low field bank enclose the monument to the N, E and S. A possible souterrain (GA104-291001-) is visible off-centre to the W. A field wall cuts through it at WNW and NE and to the S of it the wall it has been levelled. However, its outline is visible as a stony patch with a slight dip indicating the line of the fosse. A post and wire fences runs E-W just to its N and another runs N-S to its W. There is a causewayed entrance gap (Wth 2m) at SE. Numerous depressions and low grass-covered banks are visible in the interior. A possible souterrain (GA114-157001-) is associated (SMR file). Another rath (GA114-156----) lies c. 120m to the NNE. This monument is subject to a preservation order made under the National Monuments Acts 1930 to 2014 (PO no. 3/1983). No visible surface trace survived. On re-inspection in November 1982 local information revealed that when a drain or trench had been dug a few years previously a 'tunnel' which was c. A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner. A price is the price recorded for a past sale, not a valuation.
