The earthen enclosing bank is 1.25m high externally, c. 0.6m high internally and 1.5m wide. There are traces of a possible fosse along the NE sector, between the bank and an adjacent field wall. There is a 3.2m wide entrance gap at E and a 2m wide gap at NNW. The centre of the enclosure is occupied by the foundations of a possible hut KE044-104001-. The enclosure appears to have been about 44m in overall diameter and the bank was about 4m wide at base. Ashe (1954) described the site as bivallate but there is no trace now of an outer bank. He also noted a large souterrain. The site lies close to the N side of the main Dingle to Anascaul road, on a SE facing slope with good views in all directions. Internal diam. 33.5m N-S, 31m E-W A circular univallate rath situated on a very gentle W facing slope, in the triangle of land that lies S of the Dingle to Tralee road, between 2 streams which flow S to Minard Bay. The earthen enclosing bank is up to 1.5m high externally and .75m high internally, but it has been almost completely removed along the NE quadrant. An 8m wide break in the bank at SE probably marks the location of the original entrance. Internal diam. 16.8m E-W, 15.5m N-S A roughly circular bivallate rath situated in the large triangle of land that lies S of the Dingle to Anascaul road, between 2 streams which flow S to Minard. The outer bank was formerly continuous (2nd edition OS map), but has now been removed along the N side of the enclosure. The SW section is used and maintained as a field boundary and is therefore more substantial than the SE section which is .8m high externally and 1.6m high above the base of the fosse. The inner bank rises 2.65m above the fosse and 1.1m above the interior. Its inner flank is faced with drystone masonry, now considerably collapsed. Access to the interior is by means of a causewayed entrance at SE, the gaps in the inner and outer banks being 2m and 5.5m wide respectively. The above description is derived from J.
