In pasture, on a N-facing slope. A circular area (29.5m NW-SE) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 4.85m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.3m) and a shallow external fosse (Wth 0.5m; D 0.2m). Stone-facing is evident on the internal face of the bank along the NW and SE arcs. A cattle gap occurs in the bank at WSW and in general the bank in this area is slightly denuded by animals. The interior is level apart from a slightly raised area in the NE quadrant. The S half of it is covered with overgrowth. A N-S field boundary lies immediately outside the E arc. This rath was described in the 1840s as a 'handsome Danish Fort', 'called Lisspline', in the E extremity of Cloonydonigan Upper (OSNB, Kilcredane, 10, 15). This potential feature was reported by Michael Connolly, County Archaeologist, Kerry County Council. It was identified by him during the course of an assessment of a 40 square mile area for the purpose of choosing a road route in 2000 to the north of Killarney. In deciduous forestry plantation, at edge of ESB buffer zone (long-axis NW-SE). Reported to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland as the cropmark of an enclosure. There is no visible surface trace of an enclosure at this location. The grid reference location is at interface between sycamore forest plantation and firebreak corridor. A circular clump of trees is visible on modern aerial photography c. 10m to N (Bing 2015). This is not evident in an earlier aerial image, where it is covered by furze bushes (OSi 2010). The trees in this cluster have self-seeded very close together and are enclosed by dense furze bushes which were impenetrable during the field inspection. No potential feature evident upon historic mapping.

No visible surface trace of an enclosure at this location as this area has since been planted with forestry. Reported to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland as an extant fulacht fia. No potential feature evident upon historic mapping or modern aerial photography (OSi 2010; Bing 2015).

Reported to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland as the cropmark of an oval enclosure. In impenetrable forestry plantation. Reached within c. 80m to N of grid reference location. This plantation has yet to be thinned. No potential feature evident upon historic mapping or modern aerial photography (OSi 2010; Bing 2015).
