Roughly triangular in elevation, it stands 1.9m high and is of approximately rectangular basal plan, measuring 1.42m x 1m; NE-SW. Some packing stones are visible around its base. This tall standing stone is conspicuously located in flat, marshy land W of the Caragh river. It stands 2.84m high and measures .7m x .28m at base; E-W. Irregular in elevation, it increases in width from its base to a maximum of 1.3m before tapering sharply on its W side towards a rather pointed top. Panel of rock art identified and described by Aoibheann Lambe as follows; 'According to the landowner, the upper surface was revealed after a gorse fire decades ago. In rough poorly drained marshy pasture used for cattle grazing, the upper surfaces of a large erratic sandstone boulder and its smaller neighbour are inscribed with rock art, including cup-and-ring motifs, grooves and cupmarks'.
