Of regular elevation, it leans slightly to the N and tapers to a rounded top. It measures 1.7m high, and has basal dimensions of .4m x .4m. Internal diam. c. 15m E-W This is one of a group of four cahers located towards the NE end of the Coomduff ridge, commanding far reaching views along the Cummeragh river valley to Lough Currane at SW. As a result of land clearance operations only the S sector of the site survives. The enclosing wall here is poorly preserved, however, and has largely collapsed downslope. Field clearance debris abuts its external face. The wall is 1.5m wide and survives to a maximum external height of 1.1m and an internal height of 1.8m. The interior of the caher contains a fill of field clearance material and stone collapse. The outlines of two huts, located adjacent to one another, are discernable towards the centre of the site. That at W (KE089-038001-) survives as a semicircular arc of drystone walling, 1.9m wide, enclosing a slight hollow, 4m E-W. The second hut (KE089-038003-), circular in outline, has an internal diameter of 4.5m. Its wall survives .8m in maximum height and is 1.4m wide. An opening to a largely collapsed souterrain (KE089-038002-) is located 1.3m SW of the second hut. Its drystone-built passage extends to N for 3m, where it turns to ESE for a further 2m. It consists of a very poorly preserved subcircular enclosure, within which is a ruined hut and a rectangular sheepfold. The enclosing wall measures 2.3m wide on average and survives up to 1.2m high. It is faced internally and externally with large slabs, and much stone collapse abuts its external face. A 1.45m wide entrance gap occurs at NE, and is flanked on its N side by a large, 1.1m high, upright slab. In the stony interior of the caher are the remains of a subrectangular hut (KE089-039001-) with internal dimensions of 2.6m x 2m. Its walls are .9m high and .8m wide. Internal diam. 21.5m N-S, 22.4m E-W This is the most southerly of a group of four cahers located on gentle S sloping pasture on the SE side of Coomduff ridge. The enclosing element is much collapsed, surviving as a 2m wide stony bank which varies from .5m to 1.1m high externally and from .2m to 1.4m high internally. The bank is very much disturbed along its E and W sectors. An eroded gap, 3.7m wide, is located at NE and may represent the original entrance. A poorly preserved circular hut (KE089-040001-) is located in the interior of the caher. It has an internal diameter of 5m, and its wall survives .9m high and 1.4m wide. A NW-SE field boundary bisects it, and a further two field walls extend SW from this across its interior. The enclosing element survives mostly as a band of stone collapse up to 4m wide, but at NW it is faced with large boulder-like slabs and is 1.45m wide. The wall averages 1m high externally, but at SE, where a small stream skirts the site, it is 2.1m high. It consists of three stones, orientated NE-SW, the easternmost lying prostrate and measuring 2.45m x 1.05m x .25m. The uprights stand .62m apart and the tallest, at NE, measures 2.35m high and 1.05m x .3m at base; some packing stones are exposed at its base. This site, no longer in use by the late nineteenth century, is situated in rough pasture and overlooks the Cummeragh river valley to S. Field boundaries enclose an approximately rectangular area, 30.6m x 12.5m, within which the area of burial is confined to a raised area, square in plan. This measures 10.5m in overall dimensions and varies from .15m to .7m high. There is a large number of upright slabs and boulders on its very uneven upper surface. Orientated NE-SW, the row is 6.17m long and has been incorporated into a field boundary. The NE stone measures 1.28m x .76m x .45m. Located 1.09m to SW is the tallest stone in the row; it stands 2.65m high and measures 1.12m x .69m at base. The third and smallest stone stands 1.24m further to SW, and measures 1.2m x .51m x .31m.
