The remains of mainly linear field walls (T 0.7m; H 0.3m) protrude intermittently above the surface of the bog and cover a roughly rectangular area (c. 350m E-W; c. 200m N-S). Two stretches of a stone trackway are exposed in areas of peat-cutting in an extensive tract of bog on the lower S slopes of Knocklomena mountain. The first is located N of the stream which flows from Lough Fadda to join the Kealduff river. It survives as a carefully constructed, 86m long, stretch which runs N-S. Measuring up to 1.5m wide, it is paved with large flat slabs with smaller square stones near its centre. It disappears beneath peat at both ends. The second stretch of trackway occurs approximately 100m to N. It is intermittently visible over a distance of 200m and curves from N, to SW, to S. It is poorly preserved, particularly at N, and averages .9m wide. Small slabs are placed upright to form an edging at some points along its length. The above description is derived from A. Located in bog on the S slopes of Knocklomena mountain, SW of Lough Fadda, this standing stone overlooks Kenmare Bay to S. It inclines slightly to SE, and a split runs the length of its SE face. Rectangular in elevation, it stands 1.15m high and measures .85m and .5m in basal dimensions; NE-SW. Packing stones are visible in the peat at its base. It is not marked on the OS maps. It measures 1.95m x .9m in maximum dimensions, and features a single ring and a cup-and-three rings. The site commands extensive views to S over Kenmare Bay to the Beara Peninsula. According to O’Sullivan & Sheehan (1996, 88-89), ‘This stone, the upper surface of which is decorated, is located in bog on the upper S slopes of Knocklomena, W of a stream that flows S from Lough Fadda. It measures 1.95m x .9m in maximum dimensions, and features a single ring and a cup-and-three rings. The site commands extensive views to S over Kenmare Bay to the Beara Peninsula. Not marked on the OS maps, the ruinous remains of this stone enclosure are located in boggy pasture on the N side of a stream that flows from Lough Fadda to the Kealduff river at W. The wall encloses a roughly oval-shaped area with a maximum internal dimension of 15m. It survives only one course high, measures 1.5m wide, and is faced both internally and externally with large slabs. A few slabs set on edge flank both of its faces. No entrance could be discerned. A roughly circular outline of slabs in the interior of the enclosure denotes a possible hut (KE083-080001-). This measures 3.5m x 3.3m internally. The above description is derived from A. A horseshoe-shaped grass-covered mound (14m N-S; 12m E-W; H 1.2m) of burnt material with its opening (5m N-S; 4m E-W) facing W. Stones protrude from the base of the mound along the E arc of the opening. The N end of a trackway (KE083-077----) is c. 40m to the SW.
