Levelled enclosure surveyed in 1987 by the Castleisland District Archaeological Survey and described as follows; 'on a break in pastureland sloping down to the south with exceptionally good views over the low lying countryside to the SW, S and SE. Field fences have been removed from the vicinity of the site and a recently built farm track runs through its approximate location. There is no surface evidence of the monument. Levelled enclosure surveyed in 1987 by the Castleisland District Archaeological Survey and described as follows; 'in pastureland at the foot of a ridge of high ground which rises to the W, NW and N. To the east is a stream which flows south out of a small narrow sided valley running off to NNE. The site has been levelled along with surrounding field fences. This record was formerly classed as a 'fulacht fiadh' in both the SMR (1990) and the RMP (1997). The monument was noted by the 'Castleisland District Archaeological Survey' - March 1990 - while inspecting a nearby possible enclosure (KE031-017----). The Castleisland Survey noticed that the fence to the W was 'partially constructed of black earth and heat shattered stone'. They were also informed by the landowner that a spread of this material was also found within the possible enclosure (KE031-017----) which he had levelled in the 1950s. (SMR file)
