The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 5.6m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.3m) which is best preserved S-NE. Two contiguous stone (max. L 1.2m; H 0.25m; T 0.25m) slabs form the arc NE-E. A break at E may indicate an entrance. The NW portion of the interior is raised (H 0.9m) and the SE portion is cut (D 0.7m) into the upslope to compensate for the hillslope. Two radially set stones form the entrance at NNE, the most easterly stone leaning to the W. The circle may originally have had eleven stones as the axial stone and one other stone are missing. In rough pasture, on a terrace on the N-facing slopes of Knockanouganish Hill. A well-preserved oval cairn (10m N-S; 7.75m E-W) encloses this wedge tomb. The chamber (L 1.5m; Wth 1.3m at the W end; Wth 0.93m at the E end), which is aligned E-W and open at W, is formed by a backstone and a single sidestone on each side. The roofstone (3.2m x 2.25m; T 0.3m) slopes down to the E and rests on the backstone and the N sidestone. The E half of the roofstone is covered by the cairn which has quartz inclusions. The mound, which is composed of peaty material, has a rectangular area (7.8m N-S; 2m E-W) on top of it, also consisting of peaty material, enclosed by a stone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.55m). This feature is consistent with a 'turf láthair' or base for a turf rick. There is a field wall (KE109-003003-) to the N. In pasture, on the N bank of a stream, directly W of the main Kenmare-Lauragh road. The location of this possible fulacht fia was pointed out by the landowner as the area where he had spread material from a mound of burnt stone and black earth. The area is now planted with evergreen trees and covered by dense undergrowth, making inspection impossible. There is a burnt spread (KE109-066002-) c. 65m to the NW. In pasture, on a W-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Drombohilly River. A spread (7.5m N-S; 4m E-W; H 0.15m) of burnt material is visible directly outside the SW corner of a farm building. The landowner encountered a large mound of burnt stones and black earth at this location when digging foundations for the building. There is a possible fulacht fia (KE109-066001-) c. 65m to the SE.
