Internal diameter 28m This circular univallate rath is situated on gently sloping land, and the view from the site is extensive in all directions. The enclosing earthen bank is a maximum of 2m high externally and 1.6m high internally. Access to the interior is gained by three gaps in the N, S and E sector, measuring 3m, 3m and 4m respectively. Internal diameter 32m N-S, 31m E-W This roughly circular univallate rath is situated in gently sloping, boggy land and excellent views are afforded in all directions. The site is enclosed by an earthen bank and fosse, the fosse being visible for most of the site. The enclosing bank is well-defined and measures 2.5m high externally, 1.5m high internally and on average 6m wide at the base. The fosse is visible except to the S-SW; it measures between 2m-3.5m in width and .6m below the height of the surrounding land. A 3m wide gap exists to the N. The above description is derived from C. There is a slight trace of an exterior fosse In the N to W which measures c 1m wide and .4m deep. This site is marked on the 1841-42 OS map as 'Old burial ground' and on the 1914 edition as 'burial ground (disused)'. The above description is derived from C.
