In pasture, on a gentle W-facing slope, towards the top of a low hill. A circular area (c. 54m E-W) defined by the remains of two earthen banks and an intervening fosse. The interior is defined by a steep-sided earth and stone bank (Wth 2.55m; int. H 1.4m; ext. H 1.3m) NW-E and by a scarp E-NW. The intervening fosse is shallow. The outer bank (Wth 2.4m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.65m) is visible intermittently NW-NE. The inner bank is stone faced internally and externally. Its terminals at NW and E are abutted by E-W field boundaries radiating externally from the bank. The NW terminal of the outer bank is abutted by the N face of the field boundary. In pasture, on a SW-facing slope, immediately SW of a road. This possible rath is not visible at ground level. A septic tank for a modern house to the SE, is now situated in the approximate location of the possible rath. It is indicated on the 1894 OS 6-inch map as a hachured D-shaped area (c. 20m NE-SW) with a straight NE side (L c. 40m) formed by a NW-SE field boundary. Three raths (KE058-075----, KE058-73----, KE058-76----) lie c. 130m to the SSW, c. 150m to the NNW and c. 175m to the N, respectively. In pasture, on a SW-facing slope, to the S of a road. A circular area (31m E-W; 28m N-S) defined by two earthen bank and an intervening fosse. The inner bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.05m) is stone faced internally. The intervening fosse (Wth 2.5m) is covered with overgrowth along the W arc. The outer bank (Wth 4.1m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.6m) has been incorporated into the field boundary system along the S arc. The interior slopes down to the W and coniferous trees and ferns grow in it. A raised area (H 0.6-0.8m; L c. 6m) extends from the break in the inner bank at WSW to a stony area (L c. 9m N-S), covered with overgrowth, in the SW quadrant. There is a causeway entrance (Wth 1.4m) through the inner and outer banks at E. The bank terminals at the entrance appear to be stone faced. Numerous gaps occur in both banks. In pasture, on a SSW-facing slope, towards the top of a hill. A circular area (38m NW-SE) defined by two earthen banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank (Wth 4.35m; int. H 0.55m; ext. H 2m) is substantial WNW-E and survives as a scarp E-SSE and as a low bank SSE-WNW. The intervening overgrown fosse (Wth c. 3.5m) widens (Wth c. 6m) along the W arc. The outer bank is low and evident E-NNE. There is a break in the outer bank at NW. The ground surface in the N half of interior slopes down to the SW, towards the break of slope at the centre. The S half of the interior is relatively flat. Stony areas were noted in the NW and SW quadrants. There is an entrance (Wth c. 2m) through both the inner and outer banks at SE. Field boundaries extend from the outer bank at W and N. This is probably the rath referred to in the 1840s as being 'remarkably large, double ringed and covered with Furze' (OSNB, Kilcummin, no. 3, 22). Overhead power line (long-axis N-S) to E of forestry boundary at E. No potential archaeological feature depicted at this location upon historic mapping. Access not gained. Closest accessible point is c. 150m to E and S of NGR location provided.
