In pasture, on a SW-facing slope, c. 75m NE of Kilnanare stream. A circular area (42m N-S; 40m E-W) defined by a substantial earthen bank with an external fosse S-SE. There is a causeway entrance at SE. The interior slopes down to the SW. The rath is overgrown with impenetrable furze bushes. In pasture, on a SE-facing slope. A circular area (c. 33.5m N-S; c. 33m E-W) defined by two earthen banks, an intervening fosse and an outer fosse. The inner bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.15m) has numerous cattle gaps. The intervening fosse (Wth c. 2.2m) is evident all around. The outer bank (Wth 3.4m) survives N-NW. An internal ledge (Wth 2m) near the base of the internal face of the outer bank survives all round. The outer fosse is evident S-WNW as a slight slope down to the base of the outer bank. A field boundary skirts the outer bank along the N arc. The uneven interior slopes down to the SE. There is a possible entrance through the inner (Wth 3m) and outer (Wth c. 1.6m) banks at SSE. An occupied two-storey gable-ended house. The front elevation (ENE-facing) is of three bays and has a central doorway with a rectangular overlight. The window opes are rectangular and some retain sash frames with glazing bars. There is a chimney on each gable. There is a one-storey off-centre projection at the rear. A one-storey outhouse adjoins the SW end of the house. According to Bary (1994, 162), the house may date to the early 18th century and was originally associated with the Fitzgerald family. In improved pasture, on an E-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 22m) defined by the remains of a low profile earthen bank (Wth 8m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.3m); best preserved NW->E->SW. Bank is levelled downslope ENE->E->ESE where the exterior is stepped like a counter scarp. Interior is dish-shaped and featureless. Monument is incorporated into field as pasture.
