Internal diam. 25m N-S, 30m E-W Lissowroe/Lios Abhann Rua: The first edition of the OS map depicts a subcircular bivallate enclosure on the W bank of the Owroe river, which forms part of its defences at E. The site is more consistent today with what is depicted on the second edition of the map - a univallate enclosure bounded at E by a field boundary with the river some 30m to E. The overgrown earthen bank is 1.3m high externally and measures .95m high internally. It has a basal width of 4.8m. A portion of the level interior of the rath is occupied by a large overgrown stony mound, measuring 13m in overall diameter. Though no facing is visible, it may represent the collapsed remnants of a large hut (KE081-013001-). The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. In rough grazing, on a S-facing slope overlooking the valley of the River Inny. A S-facing entrance (Wth 1m; H 0.7m) leads to a chamber roofed with stone lintels resting on drystone walls. The chamber extends 2.2m to the N, from where it turns to the NE and extends in that direction for c. 3m. It was inaccessible beyond that point but was observed to continue in a northerly direction.
