Internal diam. 24m N-S, 38m E-W This univallate rath is situated on the N slopes of the E end of Eask ridge. It has been considerably interfered with by field fences and an orchard has been planted in part of the interior. The outline of the enclosure is still discernible, but along the SE and W sectors, the bank has been replaced by stone walls, the wall at W forming the townland boundary. Elsewhere the earthen enclosing bank is a maximum of 2m high internally and 1m high externally and its outer flank is stone-faced. A 3m wide gap in the E sector probably marks the original entrance though it has probably been widened. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 523. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner. A price is the price recorded for a past sale, not a valuation.
