Rounds/Legends/Offerings: Fr O'Keeffe of Asdee states that no patterns or visitations have been held here in living memory, but according to local tradition these did take place in the past. Marked on the 1841-42 OS as 'Kyle burial ground', this site appears as 'Kyle burial ground (disused)' on the 1914 OS map. It is situated in the corner of a pastoral field and immediately to the NW lies a reputed holy well (KE002-018----). The S and W banks of this burial ground have been completely levelled by the erection of modern fieldbanks running N-S and E-W. What remains today is a roughly square area in plan, which is enclosed to the N through E to SE by an earthen bank. The internal diameter N-S measures 51m, while the external diameter measures 55m. The internal and external diameter E-W measures 48m and 54m respectively. The bank measures c 6m wide at the base, 1.3m high above the surrounding land and .8m above the interior. Three breaks in the bank are to be noted, two on the N bank and one to the SE, which measures 9m, 4m and 4m respectively in width. In the E sector of the interior a large stone slab, possibly marking a burial, and other scattered stones can also be noted. The above description is derived from C. Internal diameter 41m N-S, 39m E-W This roughly circular univallate rath consists of an inner area enclosed by an earthen bank. The bank survives to a height of between .8m to 2.6m externally and .7m internally. The width of the bank at the base measures c6m. A 1.4m wide gap to the E provides access to the interior. Internal diameter 32m N-S, 34m E-W Lissaniska/Lios an Uisce (ringfort of the water). This circular univallate rath has an enclosing earthen bank which rises to a maximum of 2.6m externally and 1m internally. Two gaps to the NE ttnd W provide access to the interior; they measure 3m and 5m in width respectively. A fieldbank runs along the W side of this fort.
