Internal diameter 43.4m N-S, 42m E-W Situated on a rise immediately to the W of Perriman's house, the land gently sloping to the SSE, this univallate rath consists of a circular area enclosed by an earthen bank and exterior fosse. The enclosing bank rises to a maximum of 3.6m above the fosse and 2m above the interior. The U shaped and well-defined external fosse is, on average, 3.4m wide and 1.4m deep. The interior is at a higher level than the surrounding land. In the W sector the bank would appear to have been stone faced for c 22m, though this is probably modern workmanship. The entrance lies to the E and is c4m wide. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
