This is a grass-covered D-shaped area (dims 29m ESE-WNW; 18m NNW-SSE) defined by a scarp with a few bushes, which is best preserved (H 1m) E-S. A short section of bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.4m) survives ESE-SE and there are traces of an external fosse (Wth of top 7.5m; ext. D 0.2m) SW-W. An original entrance is not identified. The monument is truncated by the river at N and a defunct railway line from Sligo and Dromahaire to Manorhamilton and Enniskillen is just to the S. It is indicated as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) described as a 'fort' on the 1835 edition of the OS 6-inch map and as a hachured feature (diam. c. 35m) on the 1907 edition. No feature visible at ground level in an overgrown area (diam. c. 40m) but it is known locally as a fort that had an earthen bank. This is an overgrown subcircular platform (dims 37m NNW-SSE; 33.7m ENE-WSW; H 0.8-1.1m) defined by a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of base 2-2.8m; ext. D 0.2-0.5m) best preserved at W and N, but the perimeter is quarried away SE-SW. The original entrance is not identified. This is a grass-covered D-shaped area (dims 28m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by a slight scarp (H 0.6-1m) which is accompanied by an outer berm (Wth c. 8m) resulting from damage at the W side (L 14m). The enclosure is also truncated by an E-W field bank and drain at S. The original entrance is not identified. The moated site (LE015-162----) is c. 30m to the N. Located at the bottom of a SE-NW valley in reclaimed pasture with a N-S section of a stream immediately to the W. This is a grass-covered rectangular area (dims 22m N-S; 22m E-W) defined by a slight fosse or moat (Wth 3.5-4m) which is now visible as bands of lush vegetation. A leat from an old E-W stream bed that is just to the S leads into the moat at the SE angle and another leat from the NW angle leads to the extant stream.
