Situated on the SE-facing slope of a low drumlin. This is a grass-covered oval area (int. dims 32m NE-SW; 18m NW-SE) defined by a grass-covered earthen bank (Wth 3.8m; H 0.6m) W-N-SE and a scarp (H 0.6m) elsewhere, with traces of a fosse visible as a shallow depression (Wth 1.5m; D 0.1m) N-NE. Attached to the S is a rectangular annexe visible as a grass-covered area (dims 26m N-S; 22m E-W) defined by a scarp (Wth 1.4m; H 0.35m) at S and a fosse (Wth of top 3.2m; int. D 0.35m; ext. D 0.1m) at W. The E edge is provided by a N-S field bank. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. It was first identified by Susan Curran as part of an M.A. thesis with University College Dublin using a LiDAR survey dataset commissioned by Leitrim County Council and the National Roads Authority. This is a rectangular grass-covered area (dims 26m N-S; 22m E-W) defined by a scarp (Wth 1.4m; H 0.35m) at S and a fosse (Wth of top 3.2m; int. D 0.35m; ext. D 0.1m) at W.
