They are built on a kind of platform which is probably natural, but may in part be artificial. The monuments are on the western edge of the platform and the eastern part of it is cut off from them by an ancient fence. The N. monument is a circular platform 3' [0.9m] high, around which there is a fosse. The overall diameter is 120' [36m] . The second monument is due south from the latter by a distance of 46' [14m]. It is identical with the first except that the diameter is smaller, being only 90' [27m] overall. The entrances are not recognisable'. Identified as a circular cropmark by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 93.05; AP 5/2102). Faint trace of monument visible as a circular cropmark (diam. c. 5m) intersected at W by a linear cropmark running roughly N-S on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13. No surface remains visible on Google Earth orthoimages. Linear cropmarks visible on aerial images, some perpendicular to each other, appear to represent drainage channels of land reclamation works. Described by the ASI as a possible series of rectilinear enclosures (sub-divisions of a narrow field) visible on oblique aerial photograph taken 05/01/2003 (ASIAP (349) 18). Monument visible as rectilinear cropmarks (dims. c. 335m N-S x 170m E-W), some perpendicular to each other on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13. Field system clearly visible on Google Earth orthoimage 20/03/2018 with relic field boundaries visible running E-W, depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. A relic watercourse runs N-S and curves W in the SW quadrant of the field system. The Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/03/2018 clearly shows the rectangular cropmark which is defined at S and E by relic field boundaries running N-S and E-W. Depicted on the 1840 ed.
