Built of small uncoursed stones. East gable completely masked by ivy but appears to stand to full height; central window embrasure much-ruined but has single pointed sandstone light (ibid., plate 10). West gable missing either end, also masked with ivy. In pasture, close to E bank of River Deel. Roughly rectangular graveyard (c. 30m E-W; c. 25m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank, with entrance gate on S side. In occasional use and maintained. At N end fragmentary remains of parish church of Cloncrew (LI054-028001-). Earliest headstone noted dated 1767, lies within area of church; many late-18th, 19th and 20th century headstones. Base of scarp truncated NE->SE by field boundary; cattle have worn paths across scarp at NW, N and SE, otherwise scarp covered by dense overgrowth. Interior is level and under pasture which is heavily poached by cattle. In pasture, on SE-facing slope below brow of hillock. Sub-rectangular area (57m N-S; 46m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank W->NE and by scarp edge NE->W. Bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.85m), best preserved W->N, forms angular corner jutting into interior NNE->NE before running down-slope to E. Scarp edge (ext, H 0.85m), very difficult to differentiate from natural terrain gradient along E side, best preserved S->W. Uneven interior, slopes down sharply to S before rising up into NE quadrant. According to landowner, interior, now under pasture, was known as a sand pit and may have been quarried out. NE quadrant and E side heavily masked by vegetation cover. In rough marshy pasture, atop low rise with higher ground to ENE. Circular area (35.5m N-S; 35m E-W) enclosed by scarped edge (H 0.5m; Wth ) with external fosse (D 0.5m; Wth 5.4m). Scarp is best preserved N->SE. Fosse, waterlogged along W side, is heavily masked by furze. Field boundary, thickly covered with briars, skirts around outer edge of fosse. Gap (Wth 2m) in field boundary at ESE. Interior, under pasture, slopes down gently to SW. Field boundaries abut enclosure at WSW, N and NNE.
